I'm here to clarify the details of the payment as yesterday's post regarding the payment has a little bit of mistake.

Okay, for those who had already paid RM110, you DO NOT have to pay RM10. Those who accidentally paid RM10, you may claim it from How Xin Yi(5S8) next week.

For those who has not paid anything yet, please do hand in at least RM10 or else you will get NO Gerko Mark.

Leadership Camp 2011

Sorry for the late update, once again.

This year Leadership camp was once again held in the school. But somehow it was much challenging & tougher than the past years. Alright, Let me tell you the story of this year's camp. :)

15/3/2011

First day of camp. Everyone reached early in the morning. The first thing we did, gathering everyone at the Bola Jaring Court. Next, Jogging? Yea, the participants were all with no spirit. Yi-Zhung, the one who lead them to Taman Jaya for jogging actually came back first. after 5-10 mins the rest were back with exhausted expression. Haiz, It was only the first day of camp and there's so much for them to go. They were each given a Leadership Camp Booklet, Dear Diary and a 'Life-Box' for every group. The 'Life- Box' was basically just a plastic microwave container that contains colored water that represent their respective groups. The microwave has a white cotton pasted on it. Members were not supposed to make the cotton dirty or colored.

Next, Let's go to marching. Participants were not showing their best performance at that moment. Our marching Commander, Kayne, was really mad at them. Punishments were given to them because for not giving their best performance during marching session. I think they had really learnt something. Participants got to break for a while after the marching. Some of them cannot resist the attack of Asthma. This shows that our members are quite physically weak... After the short break, everyone went to Block E classroom to place their luggage and wait for the next challenge to overcome..

The Biggest Game of the Day, Extreme Physical Test , was then conducted right after the marching. This game was rather interesting. In each group, everyone was handicapped except the leader. Each group contained 6 members. Hence, there were 1 leader, 2 blind men, 1 cannot speak, 1 with no hands and 1 with no legs. Members were required to overcome challenges from station to station with very strong determination & team work. Without teamwork one team can be collapsed easily. Finally Chocolate Team emerged as the winner of the game. I could see the others did not show any sign of giving up too.

Next, lunch. I was pretty sure that everyone was hungry due to the game. Treasure Hunt was next. The members enjoyed the game with searching clues. This time, Orange Team became the winner of the hunt.

After this, It has reached the last event of the day, Public Speaking. Everyone was given a chance to present a talk. But sadly this talk was postponed because it was time for everyone to go home & REST!

16/3/2011

Second Day of Camp. The public speaking was continued. The jungle-trekking was cancelled due to the heavy rain. After that, we had tent setting. luckily it was successfully done. Oh next, the breakfast session for committees! I was starving that time and went to each group to hunt for breakfast. Orange Team did a good job, they even prepared hot water for AJK to make hot beverage. :)

Next, Due to members' procrastination during the camp, they were all punished. Push-up and running.

Scavenger Hunt was then started after the punishment. This time, Black Team emerged as the winner of the hunt. Lunch was next. After lunch, a simple game was conducted, the Memory Game. Members were given a list of leadership quotes to memorize on the first day. This game required good communication between the leader and the members. If not they cannot succeed in the game.

The Talent-Time session was then started after the game. Basically every group did a great job in painting & designing. Orange Team was punished because they had done a great mistake, ignoring AJK. Overall, every group tried their best to explain their group details and so on.

Next, Obstacle Race at 6 pm? Because the CHS Scouts redo their entire obstacles in 4 hours time. The members enjoyed pretty much during the session. BBQ was the dinner for the second day.

Finally, the CAMP-FIRE? No, it has burnt until charcoal were left. We had a simple member sharing session with everyone.

17/3/2011

The Last Day of Camp. Early in 5a.m. everyone got to wake up. The Night Game had started. Some members refused to play the game as they were not feeling well. This time only 3 people won the game, Voon Hao,Khai Qi and Wai Loon. They listen to instruction and succeeded in the game.

Next, Marching Competition. They did badly. Drama, overall was not good too.

Everyone was gathered at Bola Jaring court. This time AJKs were pissed due to members' attitude towards the camp.

Finally It had come to Prize-Giving Ceremony. Congratz to all winners! The H&G 2011 Leadership Camp ended officially.

Marching Competition 10/4

Today IS the day! =)

everyone arrived 2 hours in advance to practice our march. it was raining heavily in the morning, and .. our practice was forced to be postponed.

due to the bad weather, the marching competition started after the rain subside.

We were the first group to enter the marching ground BUT the 4th group to perform our march.

everyone carried high hopes and strive hard to show the judges our best. we managed to surprise the judges and the other uniform bodies with our neat march. it was our very first time for the formation march which turned out to be good, which proves that we, the marchers gave 110% of focus throughout the competition.

at the end of the day, with all the effort we've given, THERE ARE NO REGRETS! =)

as long as we know, we've tried our best :D *inserts tepuk dao-gei*

regardless of what the results were, WE ARE STILL ONE TEAM :D

Catholic High School Harmonica and Guitar Band just had their Leadership Camp few days ago. I was there for the 3 days 2 nights camp. I woke up pretty early to join them. There are 4 groups which are pink, blue, grey and green. Their performance for the 1st day was below expected. They have no spirit, no teamwork and no leadership! Ajks were quite frustrated and even myself felt that! We're expecting something positive, we want to see something good on you all. Some of the leaders are not doing their job, slacking around and talking craps but not leading their team to the best. Flags, honestly I like the team one's flag. Its pink in color with 6 hands together with 3 hearts at the background. It has nice color, meaningful and looks great! Good job :)

Second day, it was much more better! They've shown more leadership and teamwork through out the whole day. They worked out together to solve problems, had fun together and hopefully enjoyed the activities together. Amazing race in the morning was fun. They were supposed to look for a piece of paper which contains the clue of next station at a certain place. The teams will be given some cash money after the race. They were asked to get teammates foods for the bbq session at night. But unfortunately, Grey team lost their paper which is to redeem the cash! They were punished by pushing my car from girl's canteen to the big tree beside round table. I was a bit regret because it was too easy for 6 of them. Anyway it's good enough. They showed their spirit and teamwork and so.... That's fine! Then, we had a noisy "shopping" in Giant at Amcorp Mall. It was an unforgettable experience, seriously. All of them were like Uncles and Aunties, comparing prices of the foods, arguing what foods to buy and even calculating prices so that they won't be over budget. ITS GOOD! ITS FUN! AND THIS IS WANT WE WANT TO SEE! :D BBQ session went on and it's tiring, especially for guys, hi5! We were busy setting up the charcoal. Its really hard to "burn" the charcoal. OH MY GOD! We spent around 1 hour or even more just to set it up. But everything turned up well after that. We got to have good foods, drinks and not to forget Puan Hew's spaghetti. It tastes so good! :) Committees had the typical YUM SENG after all! I missed the drama session after that. So, they had lots of fun I guess. They had some interesting dialogues like "Are you ready?", so I think they were enjoying it! :)

Finally, it's the last day! I, as a ex-senior was feeling a bit hard. Again, we need to "fen shou" after the 3 day camp. For the others, I don't know how are you feeling, but you'll be feeling the same when you naik pangkat as either committee or ex-senior. :) The interesting part of the 3rd day was the MARCHING COMPETITION. Members were competing with the other teams. Yi Zhung was the Best Marcher, he's so serious in the competition especially the moment he entered tapak perhimpunan. Big applause to him! 4 teams were awesome in the competition. Semangat was there, concentration was there, determination was there and THEIR HEARTS WERE REALLY THERE! Great job guys! :D The camp ended at 2 something and I hope the committees and members learned something in the camp. As a ex-senior, I was really pleased to this. Keep H&G improving and make us the top band or club in CHS! Keep it up :)

Hey, this is a short update regarding the H&G camp which is going to be held on the 15th till 17th of December.
Everyone's really excited about the camp right? =)

So here is a list of stuffs to bring for the camp.

A few important notes about camp

Camp attendees have to reach school on Tuesday (15th December) by (latest) 7.15 am. The bus will leave at 7.30 am

This camp does not include Dinner for the 1st day and Lunch for the 3rd day as we will be eating at hawker centers.

The breakfast will be a simple bread & spread with Milo. So bring your own breakfast if you want.

Any other questions regarding this camp, please feel free to ask Jocelyn, Lee Kae Yng or any other AJK's of this camp.

Today is 18th of July 2009.

Its the last day for the F5 members to stay in H&G band before AGM. :(

F5 committees were once again planned some games for the members.

The calons for next week's AGM were chosen to be the ketua of the group.

They are Jocelyn Khoo (Group 1), Pang Teng Foong (Group 2), Lim Pui Yee (Group 3) and lastly Lee Kae Yng (Group 4). They are going to be the leaders for 2009/2010.

These games are planned to enable the juniors to know more about the calons so they may choose wisely on next Saturday.

The games went on smoothly. All of them were working so hard with good teamwork. :)

You guys are awesome! F5 committees love you all so so much. :)

Besides, Happy Birthday Fidella Tee. Enjoy your day and all the best is your SPM.

F5 committees organized a couple of games on that day after marching practice.

The aim of organizing these games is to give chances to some of our F3 members to show their leadership skills, including Hoc Weng and Jing Wen for Team A, Teck Ming and Yen Wern for Team B. They did their job so well. Their teammates have good team work too. So keep it up guys. :)

dear all members who are going to yu hua~~

we will rent a van to go yu hua..which is located at kajang..
they are 14 ppl goin and i edi booked the ticket for the 14 ppl..
the ticket will cost each of you rm10.
by the way, we also have to pay for the van. The van cost us rm250. Therefore everyone of us have to pay rm18.

So, the total amount that we have to pay is rm28.

a friendly reminder:
the date of the concert is at 13th of june( next Saturday)

We, the ex-seniors have been acknowledged that the senior test will be arriving next Saturday. Though we know that you guys have a limited time to prepare yourself for the test, please take this test SERIOUSLY. Do not overlook the importance of this test. This test is a mark to test to what level have you reached in music, how far have you mastered the guitar or the harmonica. The test is also a reflection on the standard of our band. If you fare poorly, our standard of music will surely drop in the near future, not to mention our degree of popularity. That is why DO NOT NEGLECT THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS TEST.

Enough said on the importance of the test, we do hope everyone of you give your very best in the test. For the participants, you shall never know the outcome of this test until the moment the results are unveiled, yet, you do have the chance to turn your outcome into a positive one. Its the only chance to prove your worth to the band. So, whenever you have time, pls take the initiative to practise. I hereby represent the ex-seniors and wish you guys all the best in the test. Do not disappoint our high hopes on you all., yet do not get overstressed by the test. Take care and Good Luck!!! =)

me and foo reached at mamak at 915am.
it was TOO EARLY
then we wait for them!

finally yen gor gor reached..
then 3 of us wait for the 2 brothers..

after that 5 of us (can imagine what gathering is this?) went to CHS visit our JUNIORS~~
